Halftime, down by ten. But that's okay...they're still my boys.
Hit that line
Hit that line
Keep on going.
Take that ball right
down the field.
Give a cheer (RAH RAH)
Never fear (RAH RAH)
Arkansas will never yield.
On your toes
Razobacks
to the finish
Carry on with all your might.
For it's A-A-R-K-A-N-S-A-S
for Arkansas
Fight, Fight, Fight!

Not until next weekend...leaving Seattle on Thursday.
Did they win? I saw a glimpse of it and was thinking of you and your Razorbacks.
I leave Wednesday morning to go to East Texas. Tomorrow, the dentist. I hate that more than anything. Then, taking down that massive tree of mine, carefully packing all the ornaments, and packing my bags and watching the Orange Bowl with my Wake Forest Hubby.
Then, back in and out again for the never-ending business travel.
Happy New Year's Day, everyone.
We pulled up to 14-17 but never could get that last score we needed. Bummer.
I still love 'em anyway.
My heart goes out to you on that dentist visit; make 'em give you good drugs.
And give my best wishes to your folks.
14 : 17 sounds like a good game. I'm sure you were cheering with every swipe of the carton tape dispenser, mel.
pursey, yes, dental drugs, one of the last legal highs available on request. and the best part is, no hangover.
and it just occured to me I don't know one college football fight song. except maybe boola-boola. ~~ D.K.
If you grow up in Arkansas, Deke, you know the fight song tune if not the words...
Even more important, you learn very young how to "call the Hogs". Gregory (my gay Irish Catholic Yankee boyfriend) was somewhat comforted to learn there was choreography. He hates televised sports, but by the third quarter even he was getting pissed by the announcers. I had to explain that the Razorbacks are the Rodney Dangerfield of college football...no matter how good we do, we don't get no damn respect.
No wonder I've always had a soft place in my heart for the underdog.
Just got off the phone with Mom; catching her up with news and replaying the game...
Hey, Mel,
I am off in the morning, packing tonight. I wanted to stop by and wish you the best of luck on the big move. Good golly, Miss Molly, that is one heck of a thing you are doing, life changing.
Tonight, if you have a chance, catch a bit of that Wake Forest game. Keep all appendages crossed, we want hubby to send me off in a good mood!
