Ring Around the Rosie...and a Pocketful of Posers

There once was a Rep from the Sunshine State
Who was an Enemy of the criminals we all hate
Protecting the young
Unless they were hung
For his comeuppance we wait breath abate!

And you guys thought I forgot…

Cut-off for limerick entries Oct. 17, top ten published on the 24th, and I will ask for chime in's on everybody's choice, winner on the 31st...I just now realized Halloween is exactly a week before the election. Ain't that NEAT!

And back to our man of the hour Mark Foley. Like Jim West (god rest him), Jeff Gannon, and others yet to be exposed, the neo-con movement is proving itself to be rife not with homosexuals so much as blatant hypocritics. Beyond the obvious here is also the nasty underbelly of the current powers. They discredit anyone throughout society who says there is such a thing as sexual harrassment; can you think of a better case of it than a powerful Congressman boypussy-shopping among 15-year-old pages who hope not to offend anyone powerful in Washington in what may be their first chance to make an impression there? I fear truly for what the young women pages have been putting up with!

These are the people who promised to bring dignity back to the White House, and by proxy to Congress. The same folks who impeached a good President for an indiscretion with an adult. Of the opposite sex.

I don't know who busted this one out, but if it was one of the kids this sleaze was feeling up, email or otherwise, I hope he knows by being brave, he might just have saved his country.

And I hope the election doesn't let him down.

As a postscript...these later-day Brownshirts fail to remember the fate of Ernst Rohm.

Or the truth of history: Those too stupid to understand it merely repeat the greatest wrongs.

Foley got caught being "naughty" aka Horny over a year ago....and the "Ethics" Boys were dealing with it ( cough/gag/gag/cough...which means the poor pages were told to shut up)....ABC ran the story ( I guess the ABC news crew ain't feeling any loyalty the ABC 911Path to Disney crew).....Nuthin better than lyin scheming hypocritical pediphiolic neocon fear mongers getting outed right before an election- ohlordy plez let there be photos.....But let's let him bask in the limelight of shame for a bit-- apprarently according to the CNN ticker- he didn't think he did anything wrong....that's nice...

Nice limerick, Mel.

Jesus, these nuts are driving me crazy. I'm going back to the library this afternoon. Their online site says "Bush on the Couch" is checked in. It's time to read it again and reinforce my amazement at fine folks like Foley, et al.

If we can allow a psychotic like Bush as front man for a pack of psychopaths, it may be we need to consider psychiatric evaluation for ANYONE considering public office. (I know, I know, that's kinda redundant, i.e., anyone wanting to go to Washington is indication already out of whack.)

But testing political opportunists, megalomaniacs and psychopaths means - on a national level at least - we would probably have no government. WHOA! How bad would that be, in that our current situation sounds a helluva lot scarier?

As the GOP, the chosen party of the Moral Majority, scrambles to salvage face in this latest rumpus, I am reminded of the rules of the old cow-pattie wars kids in the country have engaged in for centuries.

"It don't matter how much shit you sling. It just matters how much sticks to you."

The prospect that Foley may be brought up on charges of breaking the law he himself helped write is the definition of poetic justice.

These guys may well be psychotic, but they don't qualify for an insanity plea. Given that, we need to throw the book at them...

Foley is not a homosexual... He is a pedophile. The difference is like night and day. (Just pointing out the obvious.)
